Our amazing Office Staff and Program Directors!

Our Unity Teaching Team

The Unity School staff includes dedicated people with strong backgrounds in early childhood education (ECE), many of whom graduated from the LCC Early Childhood Education Program. Our team is committed to professional growth, with all staff participating in ongoing training and professional development, along with in-person, in-the-moment training and coaching through Teacher Child Interaction in Training (TCIT), professional development quarterly, and having 24 hours of yearly on-going education.

We aim to maintain a low staff-to-child ratio: one adult for every seven to eight children in our preschool/pre-k groups, and one adult for every ten children in our K-4th grade classes—surpassing state requirements for quality and individualized attention.

We also try to hire substitutes who are in school for education or a comparable degree, or have a passion for learning, and have a natural skill level for working with children.  All staff members, new and long-term, should learn and embrace the equity-driven core values of the Unity ways.

As of August 2026, Unity’s commitment to staff retention is reflected in our impressive longevity statistics. Among teachers and administrators, 42% have been with us for 1–5 years, while 57% have served for 5 to over 20 years. Remarkably, only 1% of our teachers are new to Unity. Among our temporary staff, half of our substitute teachers are newly hired, and the other half have taught here for 1–3 years. These numbers reflect our school’s dedication to building a supportive, family-like environment and underscore our pride in staff longevity and community.

If you are interested in joining our team, you can apply through our application, our Indeed ad, or by emailing or bringing in your cover letter and resume.
